Mr Darcy Cat

Unsociable and taciturn, Mr Darcy quietly observes the company at Lucas Lodge from his private corner of the drawing room.

“Mr Darcy Cat” is my original acrylic painting, the second portrait in my feline adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice”, part of the Regency Cats Collection.

He was modeled after my tuxedo cat, Dominic, who often wears a disgusted and haughty expression, as if he is silently judging the world inferior to himself. ;)

” I declare I do not know a more awful object than Darcy, on particular occasions, and in particular places; at his own house especially, and of a Sunday evening, when he has nothing to do.” ~ Mr. Bingley, Pride and Prejudice

Archival prints of “Mr Darcy Cat” can be purchased in my shop, and from me personally at art shows.
