Commissions

Yes, I am available for special commissions, on a limited basis, depending on the complexity, style, and given deadline of the work. Any inquiries should use the contact form below, and include as much information as you can possibly give.
For example:
• your name and contact info
• subject matter, medium, and size of the finished piece (I cannot paint licensed characters due to copyright laws)
• deadline the project must be completed

If I accept your commission, I will contact you with price quotes and a non-refundable 20% down-payment will be required. This will help offset the purchase of any supplies I may need, plus it secures the deal; other types of requests - "whenever you have time" - without deposits tend to get moved to the backburner. And my backburner has been simmering for a very long time. ;)
I will e-mail a sketch of the piece, and a mock-up version roughly colored in Photoshop, to give you the opportunity to suggest changes in design and color scheme... before I begin work on the actual painting. Once the painting is heavily underway, it will be difficult to make significant changes, so getting the design approved beforehand is extremely important.
The remaining 80% of the total price will be due upon completion, before I ship the painting; alternately, you have the option to put it "on layaway" and pay in small installments if you prefer. :)

All reproductive and commercial rights to the artwork remain with me, the artist, unless we agree otherwise in writing up front... I don't sell copies of artwork involving a client's children or relatives, but I might post the piece in my portfolio if I feel especially fond of it.
