Well, we did it! The 2018 Literary Cats Calendar is being published! We are 101% funded tonight, after launching on Kickstarter 10 days ago! We have 11 days remaining in the campaign, which is plenty of time to reach at least our first Stretch Goal: a BONUS Calendar for every pledge of $20 or more!
There are still Early Bird Tiers available, so you late birds can still catch the worm… um, bird… eh, calendars?? LOL
You can see all the available Reward Tiers and make your pledge by clicking this link…. The 2018 Literary Cats Calendar on Kickstarter.
I’ve had a few people unfamiliar with Kickstarter ask me what it’s all about. You are probably already familiar with websites like GoFundMe, where people raise money to support their friends and family. Kickstarter is a similar crowdfunding platform, but it’s designed for creators trying to launch new products – like books, tabletop games, indie movies, music albums, and calendars! Projects that would be cost-prohibitive for independent artists on tiny budgets can now be achieved through the support of friends’ & fans’ pledges! In exchange for pledging your support to help a project come to life, creators usually offer special incentives, exclusively for Kickstarter backers, that cannot be purchased anywhere else.
In the case of my Early Bird Tiers, a $25 or $45 pledge will give you double the value of merchandise (if sold at retail)…. and if we reach our Stretch Goal by Sept 12th, 9:30PM, everyone pledging $20+ will receive ONE EXTRA CALENDAR included in their Reward Package!
My newest painting, “Dali’s Whiskers”, an 8″x10″ acrylic painting on stretched canvas, is now available for purchase via Inverarity Gallery.
This portrait is part of the group exhibit, “Cats’ Whiskers”, being shown in Alvah, Banffshire, Scotland. InverarityGallery.com is the website where you can see all the artwork featured in the exhibit, and purchase paintings even if you cannot make it to Scotland for the show.
“The Gallery operates online and by appointment viewing only- We are based in rural Alvah, near the Banffshire coast. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an appointment and follow us on Facebook for exhibition news and additional events and open days. We have many years experience of shipping overseas- Please buy with confidence direct from our website or drop us a message if you would like to know more.”

The Rabbit Hole Artist Collective will be hosting an art auction beginning September 24th, 2PM EST, on our Facebook page. I am hoping to have a piece completed, as the theme, “Good VS Evil”, sounds like fun! ;)
Also, the 12th annual “Art For the Animals” charity art auction will have its Opening Night on September 30th. This is a local event hosted each year by Howards’ Arts & Frames, located on the Dual Highway in Hagerstown, Maryland. 200+ local artists submit 5″x7″ original paintings and Howards’ professional framing staff chooses the perfect frames to complement each piece.
This year, AFTA will be donating 100% of its proceeds to our own Washington County Humane Society! :)
I will have at least two paintings in the auction this year, with a “Pride and Prejudice” theme, in honor of the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s death. I am hoping to submit 1-2 additional pieces. We shall see!
That’s all I have to share for now! Thank you for your support!
The January/February edition of Catster magazine arrived at my studio doorstep, and guess who has a feature interview on page 11...? ❤️🐈🎨

I have a surprise Sans in my lap this afternoon. He doesn’t often get the opportunity, nor does he stay long. :) http://ift.tt/2yH8QwF

Every time I order ink from Staples, they send a coupon for a case of wine. I order a lot of ink. What are they trying to say??? 😅 http://ift.tt/2yLExUx
I'm just going to go knock over the vase of flowers on the table, stare at a random place on the wall for a few minutes, kill a roll of toilet paper, and then go hog the bed pillows. I need my beauty rest.
