If you’ve attended the Carroll County Farmer’s Market recently, you probably saw me working on a holiday themed portrait of a kitty wearing a candle wreath. (P.S. I am usually painting at my booth, so if you’ve never been to the market, it’s a great place to watch me work!)
I finally finished up Saint Lucy this week. The original painting will be available for sale at the market this weekend, along with prints, cards, and magnets.
“Saint Lucy” is an acrylic painting, on a beveled wood plaque, measuring approximately 6″x8″.
My original painting, “Little Women”, is currently on display at the Washington County Arts Council’s main gallery, located on 34 S. Potomac Street in Hagerstown, MD. This is a juried exhibit featuring “the Best Local Art of 2016”. “Little Women” will be available to purchase through the gallery until January 3rd, 2017.
I am pleased to announce that I’ve been invited to participate in the 78Tarot’s new venture ~ an outer-space themed Tarot deck. I will be painting “The Page of Swords” for this new project… and a little green alien told me that ALL the Page cards will be represented AS CATS!! (They really ought to do a cat-themed deck ;) #teamcat
The artwork for Astral is due February 1st, 2017… so be sure to follow me on social media for progress updates! Also, consider subscribing to my Patreon channel for videos and behind-the-scenes glimpses into my artwork… every bit of support helps! :)

I am excited to be participating next month in an online art auction, hosted by the Changeling Artist Collective, to support the National Audubon Society.
“Operation Gaia” will launch on January 20th, 2017, and will feature a collection of artwork inspired by nature, fantasy, & folklore. All proceeds will be donated to Audubon. Pieces will be small works, 5″x7″ or smaller, and can be shipped anywhere in the world. The auction will run until January 27th.
As a special “Thank YOU!” for supporting my art career this year, blog subscribers can use the coupon code: THANKYOU33 in my Etsy shop, to get 33% off your total purchase! Minimum purchase of $3 required. The code expires next Thursday, December 15th.

Sans realized that the printer was exposed without its cover, so he graciously loaned his fur coat to keep it warm. 😐🐈#somuchfur #studiocat http://ift.tt/2xMk5TI

Annually since 1974, the Apple Butter Festival fills the park and streets of downtown Berkeley Springs on Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day weekend in October.
The traditional harvest festival is kicked off by a nostalgic hometown parade on Saturday morning followed by two days worth of family-friendly games and contests, music, country food, fine arts and local crafts. Undisputed star of the festival is the spicy apple butter stirred in giant copper kettles in the middle of the square.
With no admission fee and activities for all ages, this is the perfect day or weekend experience for everyone from grandma to the kids.
