I really ought to update this blog on a weekly basis, because attempting to “think backwards”, in order to summarize the past few weeks, is proving too much for my brain. :P
I guess the BIGGEST NEWS is that my 2016 Literary Cats Calendars have arrived, and they look amazing! Check out the video of The Unboxing….
I have shipped nearly all of my Kickstarter orders; I still have a few international packages that will go out this week. These are Limited Edition signed & numbered calendars, and although I ordered 150, there are less than 30 calendars remaining! They have been selling steadily both online and at my local farmer’s market. If you would like a calendar or two, PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! ~ order them as soon as possible!
I know they will sell out before Christmas. I am flattered that they are doing so well, but I am also concerned that people will wait until it’s too late and be upset with me. Next year, I think I will order 200 at minimum. :P
If you live near Westminster, Maryland, you can stop by my booth at the Carroll County Farmer’s Market, to purchase calendars and art from me in person.
My “Mad Hatter Cat” original painting WON Judge’s Choice at the 10th annual Art For the Animals charity art auction! I received a gift certificate to Howards’ Arts & Frames as a prize, which I will be spending on paint as soon as I can spare an afternoon to go shopping!
The silent auction raised $4,000 for Guiding Eyes For the Blind; 100% of the proceeds from art sales are donated to the charity. All three of my paintings did well at the auction. :)
I should have bid on the “Secret Garden” by Tamara Hoffman (pictured above, bottom left) because it is simply divine… but I did win three paintings, two of which are going to be Christmas gifts. :)
The weather was gorgeous over Columbus Day weekend, for the Apple Butter Festival in Berkeley Springs, WV.
I had a blast meeting new and returning customers; the entire town came out to support the festival! I ran into several people I hadn’t seen in over a decade. :)
I didn’t take many pictures, and sadly none of my booth set-up, but I sold a lot of artwork and had a great time!
My only regret was that my calendars weren’t available yet, as I had hoped to sell them at the show. Next year, I will order them super-early and bring them to Apple Butter with me! ;)
“Pax in Morte” ©TaraFly, 2015. An acrylic painting on 11″x14″ masonite board, for the “Memento Mori” art show at Penumbra Boutique, Alverca Portugal.
I am currently working on a Druid Priestess painting for the Rabbit Hole Artist Collective’s “Fortune Teller” themed auction on November 24th.
Subscribers to my Patreon channel get exclusive behind-the-scenes peeks at all my paintings in progress…. but I will also try to update my blog more often! :D
