A couple of months ago, I shared a piece that I created for an amazing collaboration Tarot deck, named 78Tarot…. Seventy eight artists from all over the world, each designing one card in the deck.
The KickStarter Project to fund the publishing of the deck is LIVE!! Here is your chance to grab a copy of this collective deck, 78 cards designed by talented artists, as well as a few special goodies just for backers!
I painted “Five of Pentacles” specifically for this project, which I am so thrilled to be participating alongside established and respected working artists like Jasmine Becket-Griffith and Meredith Dillman. Several of the featured artists I’ve admired for years, and many others I have recently met through this campaign.
The whole experience has been, and continues to be, a great pleasure. :)
My summer season at the Carroll County Farmer’s Market, in Westminster, Maryland, kicked off on June 14th.
I have been bringing my current painting in progress to the show, so market goers can watch me paint live! I am working on a 16″x20″ acrylic painting, “King Henry VIII”, to accompany his six wives that I completed last year.
There will be Civil War cats in uniform coming soon! And perhaps even a kitty princess inspired by a certain Disney movie. With temperatures in the mid 90s… dare I say it? Nah, I’ll just let it go. ;)
If you live near Carroll County, Maryland, please stop by the Farmer’s Market on Agriculture Drive (next door to the Shipley Arena) and say “Hello!”. The doors open at 8:00AM to the general public, and I’d suggest arriving as early as possible for the freshest produce and best choices of baked goodies. The food flies out the door!
In addition to homegrown veggies and pies, (and my cat art, of course!), there are vendors selling lotions and skin-care products, jewelry, stuffed animals and dolls, floral arrangements, etched wineglasses, honey meade homebrewing kits, and charming home decor.. from carved wooden coat-racks to baskets, handpainted bowls, frames, and so much more.
Best of all, everything is guaranteed to be handmade at this market! :)
I will be selling every Saturday, from 8am – 1pm, in the kitchen building (a.k.a “Burns Hall”) ALL SUMMER LONG ~ through the first weekend in September. My entire inventory is on display: prints, cards, magnets, key-chains, bookmarks, and mini plaques. Check out my progress on King Henry and see what’s new!
Thank you for supporting me! =^,,^=
